Nightstand built from walnut, mild steel and 3D printed parts.
Material Processes: milling, lathing, brazing, general woodworking
and wood finishing.
Constructed in the Stanford Product Realization Lab

I created this nightstand with the intention of making a designer-quality table that could fit in my dorm room without an imposing aesthetic. Drawing heavily from my memories of driving across the Four Corner States and the works of Cormac McCarthy, I wanted this piece to emulate the skeletal architecture of a wild horse, the triangular intersection of the two femur bones and the spine within the pelvic plates. Made from mild steel, walnut, and 3D printed pieces.
